When you arrive on the island, as is often the case, the weather may be beautiful in North Head and the seas may appear calm. However, the weather on the Bay of Fundy has the potential to become unfavourable very quickly. We take guests a long way from the sunny shores of the island and into water that can be unpredictable and subject to different weather systems. These systems can be very different than what you may see on the island and on the mainland. When this occurs, we have the heartbreaking responsibility to cancel tours. For your safety, and for our own. Sadly, it is common to see business-as-usual tour operators out of St. Andrews on the same day we are forced to cancel trips due to safety concerns over fog, wind, and high seas.

When we are forced to cancel trips, these decisions not only impact our guests but our family-business, and livelihood, too. It should be made very clear we never have, and never will, cancel for our own personal reasons. When it is safe for everyone, we want to be out there just as much as you!

Lambert Family Adventures also cannot guarantee whale sightings. What we can guarantee is that we will do our absolute best to find whales. We do this by speaking with other vessels in the area and checking different locations. We can also guarantee a great trip and amazing memories!
